You could soon be finding yourself taking part in a lock down experiment or trying your hand at using a thermal imaging camera. If exploring is your thing, this vast site offers those more daring, to take off on your own to creep yourself out! A night in a huge location will soon find yourself in very small groups or on your own….brave enough?!

History of the Stanley Tools Factory

Stanley Tools Factory, located in the heart of Sheffield’s Centre, began life in the mid 1800’s as the Industry Works owned by James A. Chapman. In 1937, Stanley Tools took over the site until it’s closure in 2008 when the factory merged with the Hellaby site and Ecclesfield site, meaning the Sheffield site was left deserted. The factory, which consists of a four storey building and a separate 2 storey office block, stands eerily empty and in a state of dilapidation. This former Stanley Tools Factory site’s future looks set to being redeveloped into flats and houses. Time is therefore limited if you wish to explore and join in on a ghost hunting investigation at this very unique site.

Paranormal Activity at the Stanley Tools Factory

Reports of a tall thin ghostly figure have been seen walking this abandoned factory, many believe this could be former owner “Chapman” patrolling the area. Several accounts of voices have been heard in areas where the living are not! Whilst it’s early days into ghost hunting at this recently available site, it does seem apparent that there are some unexplainable activities going on. Haunted Evenings will be using traditional communication methods alongside high gadgets to increase the likelihood of getting to the bottom of these haunted accounts.

What to expect on the Haunted Evenings Stanley Tools Factory Ghost Hunt?

Your night on the Stanley Tools Factory Ghost Hunt will start with a warm welcome to the old factory from the Haunted Evenings Team before embarking on a urban style explore of this fascinating abandoned location.
During the course of the evening you will be split up into smaller groups to go off and do some group vigils plus lone vigils (for those of you brave enough to go it alone!). These will be organised by the team and a staff member will be present at all times with each group.
The Haunted Evenings team uses all the latest paranormal investigation equipment as listed on the equipment page and encourage all guests to have a go at using as much of the gadgets as they wish. The team aim to conduct unique experiments with a “think outside the box” attitude, making the night at Stanley Tools unique to the location, with specific trigger objects and some special twists on more traditional methods for those braver guests!.
Haunted Evenings also aim to collect EVP evidence (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) using rare equipment which works at a lower frequency and can record voices unheard by the human ear. The team will also be setting up experiments in some of the rooms in the hope of catching paranormal activity which will be re-visited before the end of the evening.
