Ghost Hunting at St John’s Museum | Warwickshire

Inside St John's Museum with Haunted Evenings

Join Haunted Evenings and use all the very latest paranormal equipment at  Warwick’s magnificent Jacobean Mansion which now houses the St Johns Museum. This large old house is full of character and history and with its many museum displays, which include a Victorian school house and kitchen, as well as floor belonging to The Royal Warwickshire Regiment of Fusiliers Museum (which includes D-Day displays and artifacts from World War II), this location creates the perfect atmosphere for that eerie factor after dark!

History of St John’s Museum

The first recorded building on the site of the current Mansion was a hospital which was founded in the 12th Century and dedicated to St John the Baptist. The building was altered in 1626 and transformed to the building that stands today.  Purchased by the Greville family ( connected with Warwick Castle) in 1788, the mansion remained in the family until 1960. During the Greville family ownership, the family residence was turned into a private school in 1815.

Paranormal Activity at St Johns Museum

Haunted Evenings recently investigated St Johns and the night turned out to be one of the most active buildings they have investigated. A black shadow was captured on the thermal imaging camera in the old Victorian school room and this coincided with activity on other equipment including a voice captured telling the guests to get out! Glass divination was constant throughout the night as well as a door unexplanably shutting in the attic.

With the attic space, cellars  and 2 expanding floors at this Jacobean Mansion to investigate, this location will be a must for those brave enough to cope with constant ghostly phenomenon that seemed to occur in all areas. One not to miss!

Ghost Hunts St Johns Museum

St Johns Museum is housed within the huge walls of an old Jacobean House in Warwick. As you walk towards this magnificent building you really do feel the anticipation of the ghost hunting night to come. This place has several places to split off into small investigative teams. Last time Haunted Evenings were here, we had groups on all 3 levels. The first vigil in the attic kick started the evening when a door slammed shut. All were accounted for and no environmental causes were established. The team had no reasonable explanation other than this was down to paranormal activity. Down in the cellar, we had activity with the glass divination experiment. It felt pretty hostile down there! The 3rd group were investigating the ground floor and a head and shoulders figure was captured on the thermal imaging camera.
St John’s Museum left the Haunted Evenings team in no doubt that the place was haunted. The team are heading back and invite you to join them on a full on night of ghost hunting. Book on to our Ghost Hunts St Johns Museum event and you could soon find yourself using all the latest paranormal equipment in some pretty spooky dark places in this huge building. Whether you are new to ghost hunting or have a few ghost hunts under your belt, Haunted Evenings welcomes you all to take part in a paranormal event to remember!.
