Outside Tettenhall Towers

Tettenhall Towers in Wolverhampton, built in 1771, was predominantly lived in, from 1853,  by Colonel Thomas Thorneycroft, an eccentric industrialist, who became known for his quirky and slightly cruel methods of testing various flying inventions by using his servants to launch off from the towers!. Thorneycroft extended the property for himself and his family to live in, one such extension being the 2 infamous octaganol towers in 1866. Now forming part of Tettenhall College, the Tettenhall Towers contains it’s own 500 seated theatre (built originally as a ballroom) complete with stage area which [the stage] was added later for use by the adjoining boarding school in 1947. Grade II listed, this property has many areas to explore and investigate…..Guests will be split into small groups to carry out vigils and experiments, your night locked in Tettenhall Towers will lead to you discovering which of the areas (cellars, Attic, theatre room, hallway, staircases, corridors, balcony etc) are the most haunted……

Paranormal Activity at Tettenhall Towers

Tettenhall Towers is rumoured to be haunted by the eccentric Victorian previous owner, Colonel Thomas Thorneycroft and it’s believed he’s not too happy about people visiting his former home. The attic space is known as the “Dolls Room”, you’ll see why as you enter the eaves, as the doorways are smaller, there’s also only a small access to part of the attic. designed this way for the children to hide away and play. Child spirits have been picked up on in the attic area. Temperature drops have been recorded through several parts of this old mansion as well as footsteps. An interesting location that lends itself well for an overnight ghost hunt. What will you experience?…..
