Ghost Hunt Leicester Guildhall
Do you fancy a night in Leicester’s oldest police cells? Or would you prefer to investigate the old library which, last time we investigated, captured EVP evidence relating to the open bible where staff have reported that pages seem to turn mysteriously on their own overnight? Or would you rather stay close to the team in the Great hall with its haunted staircase?!
The Guildhall in historic Leicester, was built around 1390 and is located in the old walled city on Guildhall Lane. The Guildhall is a Grade I listed timber framed building, once the towns meeting place for banquets and festivals (William Shakespeare appeared here) as well as the home of a priest. The Guildhall also functioned as the Cities Town Hall until 1876. Back in 1632 The Guildhall became established as a library (the third oldest library in England). Leicester’s first police force had its station here from 1836 and the police cells still exist today.
We found The Guildhall not only fascinating historically to visit but it definitely had some strange paranormal activity when we were last there.

Ghost Hunt Leicester Guildhall
Our Ghost Hunt Leicester Guildhall events have never failed to produce paranormal evidence. The most compelling evidence always seems to be from the old Library area which is situated on the second floor. The video shows the team capturing a Class A EVP relating to the Bible. A year on, when investigating the same room, the long table actually jolted and moved when all guests were not touching it. A week later, at a private investigation, the same thing happened with the table!. The Guildhall is a magnificent gem in Leicester’s crown and we highly recommend you check it out after dark!
