Take in the view of Pendle Hill at the top of the Castle Keep before the team take you off into small groups to investigate all areas of the Castle Museum and Keep. This is your night to take part in an array of ghost hunting techniques new and old, from glass divination experiments to using all the latest equipment…will you experience what we experienced last time?!

HAUNTINGS OF CLITHEROE

Our first investigation at Clitheroe Castle did not leave us disappointed and we certainly left with some unexplained occurrences! In the Keep itself, we captured many EVP’s and whilst up there, guests felt an odd burning sensation on their legs, despite the very cold temperatures. A couple of guests felt pushed and pinned to the wall concluding that the old Keep itself was a strange and menacing place to investigate! In the museum, we had countless hits on the K2 meters, many as intelligent responses to questions we were asking. Guests became unwell in certain areas of the old house (museum) and had to leave due to feeling a bit strange. On top of all this, some phenomenal orbs were captured on video by guests, some of the best we’ve seen!

CLITHEROE CASTLE HISTORY

The Keep was built in 1186 by Robert de Lacy and is said to be the second smallest Keep in England. The Keep was damaged after its capture by Parliamentary forces during the Civil War, however it has since been restored. Parts of the building date from at least 1720 and was purpose built for the Stewart’s Household, It was also used as a prison and courthouse during the 1700`s, so you can only imagine the pain and suffering that was left behind.
