Bolling Hall (which featured on Most Haunted) is Bradford’s haunted jewel in the crown! There’s rumour of this old hall having around 20 reported sightings of ghosts, along with countless paranormal encounters. In fact, the first ghost report is believed to have been noted in the mid 1600’s! Guests and staff have reported the “blue room” as being particularly unpleasant, with a sense of being watched. It’s also the same room a full apparition of a man has been seen by the fireplace.

Haunted Evenings will be investigating these claims of Bolling Hall, taking you on an access all areas ghost hunt and seeing what evidence of the above can be picked up during a variety of vigils, to include using all the latest paranormal equipment (thermal imaging cameras, night vision kit, electronic trigger objects) to more traditional style vigils such as glass divination and dowsing rod experiments. Not for the faint hearted this one!

Event Review / Spoiler!!

Bolling Hall is Bradford’s haunted jewel in the crown! In fact, the first ghost report is believed to have been noted here in the mid 1600’s! Now surrounded by housing in a typical surburbia, Bolling Hall kindly opened their doors for us all to enjoy a night of investigating the several rooms and layers of history this Grade I building has to offer.

‘Newer’ West Wing: A vigil focused around the stairwell produced some fascinating moments of the unknown. As guests experienced cold spots (at times icy cold), vibration devices triggered as if someone (spirit) was walking up and down the stairs. On command a guest was pushed when we encouraged spirit to make physical contact with us, an EVP which says “Get out” was captured via our recorders, followed by an audible female voice saying “Get out” heard by many first hand (without recording equipment) that was so clear it left us stunned!
Later in the investigation further EMF meters sparked into life (some spiking to red) step by step again showing a presence moving on the stairs. We believe this was a male spirit called Richard (EVP) who on command said “goodnight”

Ghost Room / Upper Bedroom : On the ouija board guests experienced connections with both (personal) loved ones and spirits potentially relating to the building. In the upper room a female spirit came forward and gave the initials RNG and the age of 6. She used the glass to show guests where lights were in the room and was wearing a white dress. A further female, Ava, 23 came forward who claimed to have been murdered by the master (Peter) by strangulation.
The ouija board in the ‘Ghost Room’ made contact with Master Peter who would not talk to any of the women, only Male guests. The Rempod (EMF device) flashed green and yellow during the vigil.
Richard came through on a final vigil, who worked at the Hall.
A final vigil produced an amazing light show on the k2’s (EMF meters), lighting to red 3 times on command!

Kitchen/Parlour : A young female came forward during the 1st and 2nd Human Pendulum experiment with EVP’s captured.
Female cook came forward during a further vigil in the kitchen, with a name William being mentioned.
Team member Andy sketched out the image of a female presence in the side parlour room (see photo)

Thank you to the team for helping to investigate this incredible site and a huge thank you to all the wonderful guests who took part in tonight’s investigation.

On Saturday night Haunted Evenings headed north for a nights investigation at this interesting location now surreally surrounded within a residential area of Bradford. Bolling Hall, of which parts dates back to the 14th century, also has a Victorian extension, lending any who enter, the experience of investigating 2 visibly different time periods.
With oppulent bedrooms and reception rooms to investigate one end (Victorian) and an old parlour/kitchen and panelled bedrooms to camp out in at the other (Tudor), groups were seperated down to try their hands at a variety of experiments, including a ouija board session in the dark and enclosed “Ghost Room”, an old tudor bedroom where a ghost was witnessed by it’s former resident.

Highlights of the investigation :
Parlour Area : A female spirit in need of help was communicated with during a Human Pendulum down in the old kitchen and a further female cook came forward who later came through on a ouija board session.

Dining room/staircase : 1 female guest felt upset and began crying, she moved and felt fine. Another female guest had the side of her face go numb. Shifting cold spots, vibe-pod and rempod hits occurred with the feeling that a female “lady” spirit and an important male spirit were possibly the cause . An EVP saying “No” was captured after we asked if they were happy that we were there.

Tudor Bedrooms : Muffled ghostly voices were captured on our voice recorders throughout the evening but nothing all too decipherable, other than a possible “sleep” in answer to our recorded question “are you awake or trying to sleep?” A rempod detected a possible shift in energy, otherwise fairly quiet in this part of the building.

Ouija Boards : The name Pat Sowa was spelt out during one session in the family room and a faint voice at the end of that ouija session was picked up on our recorder. The team member can be heard asking “come and tell us to leave spirit” with the response (EVP) “Leave right now”. For another group a connection to witchcraft, possibly a Court official came through on the board in the same room.
In the Ghost Room, initials LT came through, which on researching after the investigation, may be the initials of a former owner (Tempest Family). The name/word “Livington” was also captured as an EVP in this room, although research doesn’t show any immediate connections to the building.

Dining Room : During an EVP session with 4 guests in group 1, an EVP was captured saying “Get out of here” followed by “all of them are here” when we asked “can you give us the number of how many of us are in your room right now?”! (EVP BELOW) One male guest called out and received a shout followed by we think, a very muffled “Get out of my house” albeit not a Class A EVP it was a great little session!

Red Boudoir : We tried one more EVP session up in the Red bedroom, part of the Victorian end of the building and thought we heard a faint “I’m here” or “over here” (not clear enough). We continued by asking spirit if they were trying to play hide and seek. On review, 2 recordings after, it appears we captured a faint “behind you”! (Caught on 2 recorders).

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday nights investigation at Bolling Hall. A first visit for the team and a venue we will most likely look to return to in the future to carry on our investigations.
