Oxford Castle is the perfect imposing location to investigate after dark, a huge Castle with a combination of ruins, Tower, crypt and motte. Oxford Castle would have bore witness to executions, murders and life here would have been brutal. Experience a night of ghost hunting at Oxford Castle and enter the crypt!…We’ll be breaking off into small groups away from each other to take part in some pretty intense ghost hunting vigils using trigger objects and all the very latest equipment to aid us in the quest to seek evidence of the castles renowned hauntings….You’re about to experience a Haunted Evening in this magnificent Castle, are you brave enough?!…

History of Oxford Castle
As with so many historical buildings, the buildings use has changed throughout the Centuries. The original castle built on the current site of Oxford Castle, was built from wooden structures and was replaced by stone in the 11th Century. During the English Civil War most of the castles structures had been destroyed and many of the buildings that survived were then used to house the criminals of Oxford as its local prison. Public hangings took place here up until 1863, the prison was expanded in 1876, becoming HM Prison Oxford with the last recorded hanging in 1952. The Prison was in use up until 1996 when most of the 18th Century prison block was redeveloped into a hotel. The medieval remains of Oxford Castle, which include St George’s Tower, motte and Chapel crypt are now preserved as scheduled monuments and visitor heritage site.

Paranormal Activity at Oxford Castle
In 1752 Mary Bland was hanged on the Castle Mound and many believe they have seen her ghostly apparition wandering the castle grounds. Several accounts of heavy footsteps have been reported in the Prison area and strange noises have been heard below the castle in the old crypt. Due to the nature of Oxford Castles history having been a place of execution and imprisonment it is no surprise that the spirits who roam the castle leave many feeling on edge! Fancy being a ghost hunter and joining us on our Underground Ghost Hunt Drakelow Tunnels Kidderminster event?

Drakelow Tunnels, a former underground military complex, consists of numerous tunnels that stretch for 3.5 miles! The Tunnels, originally constructed in 1941, were used during the Cold War as a nuclear bunker by the Government. Drakelow tunnels is a maze of tunnels containing areas once used as dormitories, storage areas, workshops, office spaces and a canteen. During World War II, the tunnels were used as a bunker and Rover for machine workshops.

This incredible site is a must to explore and with lots of reported paranormal activity, particularly in haunted tunnel one where one spirit seems to follow you around, this is set to be a very unsettling night! So this is a pretty cool shot! Spot the green light? We were outside the Ragged School in London when all of a sudden the REMPOD triggered BEFORE the event started. All guests were 2 floors down in the basement. The Rem then hit to yellow before basing out (re-setting). This set the tone for the evening as we proceeded to pick up on several EMF spikes and temperature drops throughout the venue. We concluded several spirits were on the walkabout and being picked up by the equipment. Some guests reported feeling sick in a certain spot and in the basement, a shadow was picked up on. Some intriguing evidence collected throughout the evening made this another cracking investigation. Will we go back? Too right we will! Thanks to a fabulous bunch of guests, lovely to meet you all!. Last night Haunted Evenings were at the "Old Oak House Museum" in West Bromwich. A first investigation for us here but after what happened it won't be our last!
The video below shows evidence of 1 of 2 epic vigils held up in the front bedroom. Simon (one of the guests) stood near the old wardrobe and sensed a presence moments before a child sized (stick) figure is picked up on camera. The spirit is then seen to be responding to requests to touch Simons hand. In a later vigil in the same room, our trigger EMF bear started to light up. We picked faint EVP's up before trying the recorder next to the bear. We then got shout after shout coming through.
Downstairs in the rear Parlour, rustles were picked up on one recorder at the same time we started to get shouts through on another. At the same time, 2 grandfather clocks stopped ticking. The last vigil of the night in the Parlour produced one of the best vigils to date for team member Treena. 8 K2's and 2 EDI's were lighting up in direct response. All the group then heard an audible whistle. A clear EVP was then captured to top the night, which all could hear on play back as "Good Evening" ( EVP to be posted on Instagram).

Hell House Ghost Hunt Skegness Road | Lincolnshire

The rumours are true! There’s a new haunted house on the block! The “Hell House” as it’s already been nicknamed, is a small and quite frankly an eerie-as-hell 1930’s semi-detached property a few miles out of Skegness. Having not been lived in for some years, it soon becomes apparent as to why as you enter through the front door – the atmosphere changes and there’s a real intense feel to the place. Haunted Evenings spent the evening here in August 2017 to “test the water” and we didn’t leave disappointed!…

It’s believed that there are 3 active spirits here and that this is the reason why no-one dares to live here. Personal belongings left behind suggest the owner moved out in a hurry!. The rear bedroom was evidently locked up when the current keyholder first entered, evidence of witchcraft / or protection is littered around the room. Whether this “story” is accurate, what is evident is that the house doesn’t feel right and this room feels dark and foreboding. Voices have been captured in this room, spikes on equipment have occurred and unexplainable cold spots felt.

Other areas to investigate are the remaining bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, lean-to and Attic. Whilst we were up in the attic, there were certainly strange occurrences happening below us as well around us whilst we were up there!…(See the footage on facebook)

Small teams will be set up on the night in a quest to add to the evidence already collected. Using a variety of traditional techniques (Ouija board, dowsing rods, human pendulums) along with all the latest paranormal equipment, such as kinect system, thermal imaging cameras, a variety of EMF devices, voice and video recorders, you will be taking part in a hands on ghost hunt style evening. Are you up for the challenge? Don’t expect homely comforts here, this really is a house like no other!…..what will you discover as you spend the night at this Hell House?!

STOKE ROCHFORD HALL GHOST HUNT

A unique opportunity to spend the night investigating this beyond stunning former Victorian residence, brand new to the paranormal field for 2018 and exclusive to Haunted Evenings Events! As well as having the chance to investigate many of the grand public rooms upstairs, including the library and Turnor Room, you will have access to an abundance of areas that have NEVER been seen by the public, including the eerie “Chapel Passage” with it's several vaulted rooms off a dark corridor – one with a fireplace and another with a mysterious ominous looking door! If that wasn't enough, guests will have the opportunity to enter the usually out of bounds basement that lies beneath the Orangery, once the bakery for the property. For the absolute brave, a chance to explore the disused service tunnels which are pitch black and very foreboding, you may think twice to wanting to spend time in there, bewarned, there are bats in residence! Close to the service tunnel entrance is the catacombs, a disused bar area that has a very depressive uneasy feel.
Above ground, you will have the opportunity to investigate the office areas not accessible to the general public. It is this area of the building that was used by nursing staff when Stoke Rochford Hall was used as a military base during WWII. There's a room which was once the formal dining room when it was a private residence and an opportunity to investigate one of the bedrooms in the eaves where disembodied voices have been heard along with items unexplainably being moved.
With several other rooms up for investigation including the library, the Turnor room and the old hotel staff room where many staff felt uneasy, you will be hard pushed to cover this phenomenal location all in one night. Armed with all the very latest paranormal equipment, you will have the opportunity to try your hand at an array of ghost hunting experiments, from traditional vigils to high tech ghost adventurers style investigating! …..The question is, are you up to the challenge of discovering which of those areas are the most haunted?!

History behind Stoke Rochford Hall
The estate in which Stoke Rochford Hall now stands has had recorded ownership / dwellings on site dating back as far as the 14th Century. The current Hall is the third home to be built in succession by the Turnor family, with previous dwellings being built in 1665 and 1774. In 1794 the former Turnor home was demolished and in 1839 plans were drawn up, by famous architect William Burn, which led to the design and construction of the magnificent Grade I Hall that stands firmly today.
By World War II the house was taken over by the war department, serving as the headquarters for the Second Battalion of the Parachute Regiment for 18 months. By 1948 the Hall was taken over by Steven College and used as teacher training college before changing hands to the National Union of Teachers in 1978 who opened Stoke Rochford Hall as a National Education and Conference Centre.
In 2005 tragedy mysteriously struck the main house on Burns night when a major fire broke out, many rooms on the East side were burnt to the ground, including the most treasured Library. The Orangery survived on this side of the Hall and the main rooms restored, through a 3 year restoration project funded by English Heritage, costing over £12 million. Today the Hall is now managed by a Hotel Group and continues as a Hotel and Conference Centre.

Paranormal Activity at Stoke Rochford Hall
As you first enter the grounds of this estate down a long single track, the Hall is not yet visible, filling you with further anticipation of what you will be letting yourself in for! As Stoke Rochford Hall comes into view, it will leave you speechless, the Hall and grounds truly stunning! It's believed near the now converted stable block within the grounds, a ghostly girl has been seen in the courtyard, believed to have been tragically killed in a coaching accident. Inside, many staff have noted that the clock near the grand staircase has often stopped working dead on 11 o'clock. It is here that it is rumoured that someone hanged themselves, does this have a connection? Up in the eaves in one of the mansion bedrooms, the service staff have occasionally been spooked by seeing a reflection of someone in a mirror, they were alone at the time. One staff member stayed over and was awoken at 2.30am to seeing a shadow under the gap of her door, outside her door she overheard a conversation stating to “light the fire and shut the shutters in the Library”, the fire nor the shutters have been in use for decades!.

Thanks to all our fantastic guests who came out in force over the weekend to our sold our events at Gresley Old Hall and The Creaky Cauldron, just so lovely to see everyone get so involved with the experiments. Some phenomenal moments of validation on both locations. 2 separate groups at Gresley Old Hall picked up on the same child spirit without each knowing what had happened in the other vigil and some guests had some personal connections on the Ouija board. Last night at The Creaky Cauldron was beyond mind blowing. The energy was just constant all evening with our EMF meters going nuts, people being touched, cold spots, taps on command and footsteps heard. One group literally screamed as a K2 moved on its own before dropping to the floor. Everyone was sat still at the time. Well they did ask for it! Some amazing validation from guests who picked up so much spiritually that owner Dave could validate. It was a pleasure to witness. What a weekend 😱. Sam Ward Was RobinsonThanks to Nat and the team especially Dan our group leader for an absolutley amazing night. I am absolutley shocked at what happened to us in group 3 on the 3rd floor. Being touched, knocking, tapping, footsteps being heard right next to us. Saw 2 dark shadows walk into the room which were children playing with the K2 Meter which was placed on top of a cup. They were twisting the cup and the K2 meter and then they knocked the K2 meter on the floor and tipped the cup over, it went flying. I think we were all scared bur excited at the same time. I can't believe what we witnessed. Really active will definitley be coming back 😨😱
