Haunted Evenings

Wortley Top Forge in Yorkshire was first investigated by the Haunted Evenings team back in 2014 and because of the activity we experienced, soon became a firm favourite of ours! Our last visit was 2017 where we once again captured voices telling us to “Get Out”!…so we did (eventually), but …..we’re heading back in 2021 to do it all again! Dare to join us?!

What our guests had to say about Wortley Top Forge :

“Fabulous night and fantastic people thank you will definitely do another one xx” E.Fells 10.06.17 Source:facebook

“Thanks for fantastic night will be defo doing another one” R.Taylor 10.06.17 Source:facebook

DRAKELOW TUNNELS REVIEW | 23.10.20

Well we are definitely in challenging times but socially distancing certainly isn't one of the challenges that is ever faced at last nights venue!. Haunted Evenings returned for our 2nd visit (since the pandemic) to one of our most regular haunts - Drakelow Tunnels. 3.5 miles of disorientating and pitch black tunnels, all secretly hidden behind old nuclear bunker blast doors, in the middle of nowhere!

One by one each group entered separately into the darkness to investigate as much of the vast venue as possible in 6 hours. As if this atmospheric haunt wasn't edgy enough, now in even smaller more vulnerable groups, the eeriness of feeling very alone within our small "bubbles" felt intensified!... What did we experience?...

H I G H L I G H T S

Old Canteen - Rempod triggered to green detecting a shift in energy down in the old canteen as well as a second rempod going off in the nearside tunnel.
Vibe pod triggered on command for groups 3 and 4 and footsteps heard. One guest felt she was being pushed. Evp's were muffled with one clearer "help me" heard on playback. Further EVP's captured later in the evening were "Robert" and "Get out"

Old Burial Ground Area - during one pendulum session a female spirit came forward connected to the tunnels by a male spirit who was heard on a recorder. A flame went out on command and further "Get Out" EVP's were heard

Main Tunnels - muffled voices picked up via recorders and one guest captured a dark mist on camera.

In difficult times, the whole team would just like to say a huge thank you to all those who attended last nights event, it's much appreciated. For those who fancy joining us, be rest assured that all our events have covid safety at the forefront and Drakelow Tunnels is certainly an excellent location to spread out and explore!.

Absolutely loved last night thank u rob for being our team leader

Had a great night last night - thanks Nat for being our team leader. We will definitely do this again and hope to get some action with the Ouija board. 👻☠️🎃 ps we’ll do a haunted building next time

I wouldn't never have been able to go into the tunnels in the first place ! Have to look where the next one Is x

I’m praying that we are able to attend derby goal next month before another lockdown happens 🤞

Brilliant night last night in drakelow tunnels. I was hit on my bum and nudged in my back

Nooooooo walking through tunnels doesn't appeal to me. My preference is a big old haunted house.

Janet Ritbergeris

Was a great night, cant wait to do it again. Gonna take more pictures and videos next time after getting some orbs this time when doing it

Haunted Evenings

It was great to be back out again investigating last night and we were joined by a fabulous bunch of masked up and raring to go guests!
Our home for the (Haunted) evening was Abington House Museum, once an old Manor dating back to the 1500’s, by the late Victorian era it was used as the city’s mental asylum. It’s historic layers certainly lend itself nicely for a paranormal gathering, albeit a socially distanced gathering of course!

The investigation brought together a line of subtle yet constant flow of unexplained/paranormal activity for all groups, many EVP’s were captured as well as equipment triggering and personal experiences reported. To read the full summary of last night's event, please check out our blog.

www.hauntedevenings.co.uk/2020-blog/

To all the guests who attended last night, on behalf of the team, thank you for being so involved with the vigils, it was a real pleasure to investigate with you all.

The building was amazing and I could not have asked for a better group to work with!

A personal shout out to Group 2. You guys were amazing to work with and really got involved, and got some great results, so thank you! I hope the very loud shout at the end of the night didn't frighten you too much for your journey home 😀👻

Had a great night, thank you so much 😊

THE SKIRRID INN REVIEW | 18.09.20
What an active night at The Skirrid Inn! The team hopped across the border into Wales to return to this 12th century gem, the oldest pub in Wales.

The Skirrid Inn once acted as a local court and it is believed that some unfortunates who were found guilty of their crimes, were sentenced to death by hanging here. A replica noose hangs from the upper stairwell down to the ground floor as a stark reminder of this pubs sinister side.

Tonight's investigation produced some phenomenal experiences amongst the groups including some mindblowing voice recordings and made this a night to remember!

H I G H L I G H T S

Shadows were seen, equipment triggered and voices were captured in Bedroom 1. During one vigil a male spirit was sensed who we believe was hanged nearby for stealing sheep. When questioned, a voice replied "lying" and "hanged" was picked up via voice recordings. This was confirmed on 2 separate recorders simultaneously and was so clear it left us speechless!

An EMF meter lit up in response to Gaelic music played for a little girl sensed in spirit in bedroom 2. K2's, which were lined up on the floor, lit up on request, one guest became heavy headed whilst another burst into tears.

One guest spent time on his own in bedroom 3 and reported that the wardrobe door opened by itself on request.

EVP's were on fire tonight, picked up in various areas of the Inn with many impressively clear! A male voice was captured mocking those investigating the bottom of the stairs as well as a 'Frank' captured in the bar and a possible"1770" evp in bedroom 2. Maybe with recent lockdown restrictions the spirits were just grateful to have their voices heard?...we certainly heard them in abundance!

Thank you to all who joined us at The Skirrid, we loved every minute of investigating with you and it was good to be out again after dark!

Haunted Evenings

Drakelow Tunnels Summary | 29.08.20

So after an unexpected 5ish months off, the Haunted Evenings team were finally reunited tonight marking our first post-lockdown public event! What better location to practise social distancing than Drakelow Tunnels nr Kidderminster?!...3.5 miles worth of tunnels to spread out in, to be exact!

The evening got off to a great start with all 3 groups experiencing unexplained activity, all with quite similar results despite investigating 3 very seperate areas simultaneously!. Rempods (which detect fluctuations in EMF) lit up for all 3 groups, with 2 going off on command in the old decaying canteen area by a possible male and female spirit presence (one guest reported seeing a shadow) and vibe pods (detecting movement) occuring in all group areas being investigated. Voices captured on our recorders came through quite clearly, with an impressive 'help me' close to the baseroom captured by group 3 and a 'get out' and 'goodbye' (requested by the group) down near the old buriel quarters (group 1). The name Richard and/or Edward possibly detected by a recording.

Later on into the evening, groups went off to investigate other areas with some interesting results. During a Human Pendulum exercise, a young female spirit was crossed over by team member Andy. An agitated male spirit effected 2 people with neck pain and when carrying out a voice recording, audible groaning was picked up via EVP.
Guests also took time out from controlled vigils to wander the vast tunnels alone, with one guest capturing an unexplainable electric blue coloured haze that couldn't be debunked!.

Thank you to all that joined us tonight with a special thank you to those guests who had patiently waited for this event after it was (covid) cancelled earlier in the year!
