Abbey Pumping Station Ghost Hunts with Haunted Evenings

NEW LOCATION! NEW LOCATION! NEW LOCATION!…. Brand new to the paranormal circuit is this GIANT Victorian building that dominates the north Leicester landscape. The Abbey Pumping Station, built in 1891 saw tragedy in it’s final construction stages when one of the site engineer labourers fell over 45 ft to his death inside the now Beam room. Staff members have reported the sensation of feeling uneasy in several parts of the site and ghostly sightings have been experienced by passers-by. Be one of the very first to ever investigate this location…To grab a place click on the following link; Ghost Hunts Abbey Pumping Station

Here’s some of the photos taken on our recent site visit to this amazing and very different location! From the 3 floors in the beam room that houses the magnificent steam engines with Victorian staircases and original features, the exhibition hall with various museum displays and the Victorian Keepers house not open to the public….

Ghost Hunting in Ireland!

Outside Leap Castle Ireland Ghost Hunts

We’ve always wanted to investigate Ireland’s most haunted locations, in fact it was earmarked for 2015 but the diary got stacked out! So here’s hoping the extra years wait makes it even more worthwhile!…. Leap Castle anyone?!!

To find out more about our first Irish Ghost Hunting event, check out Leap Castle, the paranormal activity here sounds pretty intense!

Ghost Hunting Stratford Upon Avon

Creaky Cauldron NewOur recent ghost hunt at The Creaky Cauldron was simply phenomenal!.

We can’t hide our excitement at investigating this absolute gem of a place and have never tired of it’s quirkiness… Imagine 500 years of Stratford History bundled into a Tudor building just 2 doors down from Shakespeare’s Birthplace that is hardly ever investigated, certainly not by the public, infact, Haunted Evenings are proud to say we are the only events company allowed to invite you guys in!

We cherish this place so we only allow a handful of lucky guests through it’s magical door of this bizarre place. In all the times we’ve investigated here, we’ve been left blown away with the activity and this is one place that guests are spoilt by activity and left swimming in kit to use!

K2’s stole the show on our last visit. We sent one brave attendee off on his own. It seemed something followed him as the equipment around him was going off like a Christmas tree. When we sent others to observe, all of a sudden the kit in the room we were in (Theatre room) kicked into life. It was very evident that someone was walking around the middle floor! We captured a class A EVP confirming Francis was with us. An unsavoury character the team have encountered before. He seemed to stay with the group all night.

Down in the shop area, k2’s again confirmed the presence of someone from the otherside. A personal interaction also happened on the divination board at the same time as the K2’s picked up an increase in EMF. Always fantastic when traditional methods are backed up with a bit of science!

The EMF trigger objects also came into their own later on in the night, accompanied by further fantastic EVP’s. We simply lost count!

The history to this place is astounding! It’s older than Shakespeare’s pad down the road, it has connections to plague, murder, prostitution all the usual for an old public house dating back to when Stratford was pretty much nothing more than a street or two!

To book onto a creaky cauldron ghost hunt, please drop us a message and we’ll put you on the list. We take no more than 16 guests and supply you with enough kit for 40 people! This is a paranormal paradise, kids in a sweetshop time and a damned good way to satisfy your ghost hunting side or test your virgin voyage!

One thing for sure is you’ll NEVER forget your time at The Creaky Cauldron if you’ve been lucky enough to spend the night there!

Inside the Creaky Cauldron

Nottingham’s Galleries Ghost Hunt

Last Saturday at The Galleries of Justice Museum was simply mind blowing!

Guests were spoilt for choice in where to investigate. The teams were split down into 3 small groups to cover as much ground as possible.

One group started the night in the old Edwardian Police Station, an area we’ve never had access to before. Results were phenomenal, a trigger doll literally triggered in one of the doorways. This doll has never alarmed before on any investigations! Whatever set that off, had some power and authority. The second vigil had the same results with the doll triggering. This trigger vigil saw k2’s, the EMF bear and doll all alarm out and trigger. EVP’s were captured with a class A “oh yeah” that all guests heard as clear as day!

Down in the caves, all appeared quiet for the glass divination vigil, other than in 2 separate vigils the rempod went off like a disco! The groups moved up to the old washroom where EVP’s were captured. The glass also responded here from whom appeared to be an old prisoner.

The third vigil was held in the old condemned mans cells, courtyard and pit area. The pit area produced an eerie sense that the group were not alone! After several unexplained noises from the pit, an EVP came through so loud that it left a few guests not wanting to hang around!

The night ended on the biggest high in the courtroom. The entire group joined forces for this 4th and final vigil and initial feelings was that the courtroom seemed quite quiet. A few creaks were heard that were likely attributed to bums on benches and it was almost time to call it a night when a row of guests felt an incredible uneasiness behind them. At this precise moment, pretty much without exception, the entire group heard a tapping noise come from behind where the row of guests were sitting. One of the guests took photos and captured a head and torso shadow. What makes this evidence so special, was the photo captures the guests looking behind them in that exact same spot. It was a great capture – Well done to Adrian (guest) for snapping in the right place at the right time!

Ghost Hunting at The Leicester Towers

Leicester Towers Mental Ghost Hunt Homepage

Ghost Hunting at The Leicester Towers

What a fantastic night on Saturday (9th May) we had at the Towers Hospital in Leicester. We had a very respectful night establishing contact from the paranormal side at the hospital.

The night started with a welcome briefing in the magnificent 1890 built recreational hall. This hall, with its stunning paneled ceiling, has a real feel to it, like you’re stepping back in time. Imagine the patients who would have come to this hall for parties, dances and general entertainment. Most of the entertainment in the late 1800’s would have been put on by the residential hospital staff.

Next, after the intros and history briefiing, Guests enjoyed walking around this vast location, taking in the sheer scale of the building and experiencing what it is like to walk round an abandoned building. Some parts of the hospital still have the old wood panelling, bed lamps still remaining from many of the main wards, and whilst the rest has been stripped bare, it’s not hard to feel the hustle and bustle that would have been here on a daily basis that has now been replaced with an eerie silence.

Guests were then broken off into groups of 6-8. Split up to cover as much ground as possible. Some started on the stage area where voices were quickly detected on the voice recorders, at the same time a knock came from the back of the hall. Under the stage, the equipment was triggered on command when asking spirits to make the area even colder than it felt down there. Both Rempod and mel-meters showed a temperature decrease to that exact request. Meanwhile another group picked up on voices in the corridor. We also picked up on a female spirit, believed to have been a patient.

Inside Towers Hospital Ghost Hunt Haunted Evenings

In the Daisy Peak ward, several facts came through on the ouija board from a member of the medical staff, this has since been researched and relates to doctors references.

Upstairs, 2 groups investigated the entire wards which stretch from one end of the building to the other. Trigger objects were going off in the isolation cells and a door banged shut on another group. Everything was done to debunk this but could only be labelled as unexplained. Voices were picked up throughout all the vigils and the same name was captured by 2 different groups. One group also experienced a stone being thrown, this was on request in an attempt to verify spirit presence.

The Haunted Evenings team are based in Leicester and grew up hearing stories of this old Borough Lunatic Asylum. Having the chance to take guests around this secure location is a privilege. Not many have this chance and soon the building will sadly be demolished/part converted so there is not that much time to investigate. It’s rumoured the towers will come down at the end of the year.

This location is infamous to pretty much all Leicester locals. A stunning Victorian building with a stigma attached due to the nature of it’s use.  This was after-all, built to provide care for mentally ill patients, many of whom lived their entire lives here, institutionalized. It was one of the first of it’s kind in the country. Prior to the Borough Lunatic Asylum, people with such difficulties would have been locked away in Pauper Houses. This, in it’s time, was innovative. Treatments in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s would have been barbaric by today’s standards but nevertheless, this was a care facility that has such a significant part to play in the history of Leicester and the UK.

To investigate this abandoned hospital, please be aware that it will only likely be accessible til the end of the year (2015). To get your chance to visit and explore the Towers, and to take part in a paranormal investigation, you can book on to one of our available dates. Events are selling fast so don’t delay. Hull Paranormal Events

Haunted Evenings Mortuary Ghost Hunts

Hull Paranormal Events

Haunted Evenings are really excited to announce their latest event to go live on the site!. October will see the team head North to spend the night in a former Funeral Parlour. Reading up on the place, speaking to the staff and researching on feedback, it does seem this place is definitely as it claims – HAUNTED!

The Annison Building started out as the City of Hull’s Mounted Police force station, hence comes complete with stable blocks and courtyard. Staff have reported that the old Hayloft is one very active place. What is perhaps most intriguing by this location is that is was a family owned funeral parlour for over 100 years. Whilst it no longer functions as such, left behind is the old mortuary and embalming table. The reception rooms downstairs also have connections to its past as one was the chapel of rest.

This quirky location has had several accounts of paranormal phenomenon, from taps, bangs and footsteps. How hostile the place is, we will not know until we head up later in the year, but we reckon it could be quite challenging. If you fancy joining the team on this one, tickets have just gone live. We will be conducting several types of experiments throughout the night and guests, as always, will be able to use an abundance of ghost hunting equipment to really get a feel for what it is like to carry out proper investigations.

Ghost Hunting Weekend Cornwall

Ghost Huntng Weekend Cornwall

Haunted Evenings love nothing more than a road-trip away ghost hunting and whilst it may not be a complete weekend of paranormal events, the team are making the most of their trip to Cornwall this coming weekend. The team will be stopping off at the Jamaica Inn, nr Bodmin, for a look around this reported inn before heading to Bodmin Jail in preparation for Saturday nights ghost hunting event.
The team have never investigated as far South as Cornwall before and Bodmin Jail has been well overdue on their Haunted bucket list!

We have some great new twists on our vigils to try out with the guests on Saturday and we’re bringing along some pretty unique trigger objects too! Guests are about to have a night full of variety as we get stuck in with new and old techniques.

The Bodmin Gaol Ghost Hunt has been sold out for quite some time now but due to a last minute cancellation, it’s now not too late to join the team at what’s described as the most brutal jail in England. If you fancy a ghost hunting weekend Cornwall is where it’s at!

To grab those last minute spaces and to find out all the details, please check out the Ghost Hunt Bodmin Jail page.

Leicester Guildhall Ghost Hunt Tonight

Ghost Hunt at The Guildhall, Leicester

We’re re-visiting The Guildhall in Leicester tonight (last time we were here was January 2014!). Last years ghost hunt produced some amazing evidence, from strong EVP’s captured in the old library, to guests hearing the sound of a cat ( sounds normal until we were told many visitors to the Guildhall have witnessed a black ghost cat on the stairs – oh and of course no signs of a “real” cat!)).

No two nights are ever the same so the team are excited to go back to see if what was experienced last year can be replicated or whether we’ll be capturing new evidence.

The team will be joined by Stu Williamson tonight who is a genius when it comes to psychometry. [the ability to touch objects and pick up the energy of the object/building]. Stu is incredibly humble with his gift and fits in well with the team. Stu joins us now and again and we’re intrigued to see what he’ll pick up from tonight’s ghost hunt event at  Leicester’s Guildhall.

If you fancy joining us tonight, we do have a few tickets left due to last minute drop outs. You can call us on 07971 789847 if you would like to find out more about tonight’s ghost hunting event at The Guildhall or check out all the details on the event page.

Gresley Old Hall

With a few weekends to go before Christmas, we thought what better way to wish our regulars a Merry Christmas and to give something back as a thank you…. we held a Complimentary ghost hunt at Gresley Old Hall, nr Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

Gresley Old Hall sits very close to the Haunted Evenings Teams hearts as we were the very first paranormal group to host a public event here back in November 2013. Since then Gresley Old Hall has seen many budding ghost hunters through its doors and we’re proud to have put such a fab location on the Haunted Britain map!

The Haunted Evenings Christmas “do” was set up as a thank you to regular guests of 2014. A free buffet was laid on and guests were able to do as much ghost hunting or as much mingling as they pleased on the night. With a relaxed night ahead, we found Gresley Old Hall didn’t fail us in terms of paranormal activity! We had some fantastic on command responses with the REMPOD in the attic. The spooks really came out to play and it was almost like they picked up on the atmosphere of the evening as we had confirmation that they were pleased we were there!

We love Gresley Old Hall so much that we have booked another 3 dates for 2015. The buffet went down so well, we’ve decided to provide this at the Gresley Old Hall events for no additional charge! – What a treat!.

If you’re interested in joining us on a ghost hunt ( beginners and experienced) are all very welcome. We love it here and we are sure you will too!

To book, please click on the product link here for the Gresley Hall Ghost Hunt

Newsham Park Hospital Ghost Hunt this Friday!

Very excited to be heading up to Liverpool this Friday to investigate Newsham Park Hospital which also used to be an orphanage as well as mental asylum. We have some fab vigils planned and have selected some amazing zones to investigate, including the morgue where 6 guests at a time will be locked in with all the equipment to see what spirits still lurk there. Brave enough? I reckon this will be a challenge for even some of the more seasoned ghost hunters!

If you’ve missed out on this sold out event, then you’ll be pleased to know we’ve booked to investigate here again in 2015.

Ghost Hunting in South Yorkshire

The Haunted Evenings Team are heading back up north this coming weekend for another Museum Ghost hunting location. This time we’re at a little known place called Wortley Top Forge. The team are excited about the investigation as we’ve never investigated there before and it looks like only a few ever have! Sold out now but we’ll let you know how it goes!

Birmingham Ghost Hunt was hard(hat)core!

Saturday 20th September saw Haunted Evenings return to Smethwick Baths in Birmingham, a favourite location mainly due to the diverse nature of the premises for being able to split groups off to investigate. We had some very interesting findings which were verified by the staff and guests seemed to love investigating under the baths in the tunnels. Active places appeared to be the old stage area and the ladies loos ( of all places!) Thanks to all that attended.

Ghost Hunt Smethwick Baths Birmingham

In the Birmingham area this weekend and not sure what’s on? Why not try something different and join us at one of the most Haunted locations the region has to offer….Smethwick Baths! Never heard of it? Its a step-back-in time swimming baths and leisure centre from the outside and by day, but by night it takes on a whole new feeling!.

This Art Deco Grade II listed building holds such a varied past, not all that pleasant either when you scrape beneath the surface. During the war, the underground tunnels that are under the baths were used as an air raid shelter. A room off the tunnels was used as a morgue. There is a wood store where many investigators ( mainly women) have fled due to a nasty spirit not liking the female visitors!.

Above ground is the once used stage area. This stage saw many famous acts, the most exciting being that of The Beatles. The corridor outside the stage is, according to staff, very haunted. But when you ask the staff where is haunted, they’ll soon rattle off that this includes the saunas, changing rooms, reception area/foyer, the pool observation area, as well as those areas mentioned below ground.

If you fancy being part of a ghost hunting team, using all the latest equipment and exploring this amazing, vast and haunted location, we’re back on 20th September so grab yourself some tickets, a torch and some spare pants as we go in search of the spirits that roam Smethwick Baths.

Haunted Britain TV show

Haunted Britain is an exciting TV project that is currently in production for American TV. Nat, Justin, Andy and Stu from Haunted Evenings will be filming around the UK bringing visually exciting programmes about paranormal investigating. As with events, all evidence will be genuine and will show viewers how ghost hunting, using all the latest paranormal equipment should be done. The episodes will also include history, interviews and show all the latest techniques in ghost hunting. If you’re too far away to join the Haunted Evenings team on a ghost hunt, join them as they investigate Haunted Britain!

Halloween Ghost Hunt Leicester

Crazy to think that the nights are drawing in already! If you’re looking for a spooky night out  why not check out our upcoming events. With Halloween not all that far away, we have sourced some really haunted venues to scare you senseless! Our latest event to be announced is the Mystery Manor, tucked away in a forest in North Leicester.  avoid over subscribed events by booking onto this intimate (but big) secret location. Gonna be one hell of a night!

Hereford Shire Hall – RAW Event!

This Friday takes the team to the Hereford Shire Hall for a different kind of H.E Event. The RAW event. If you fancy being one of just a few to have this entire location to yourselves then get in touch as we still have a few spaces left….
Built in 1816/17, the Shire Hall in Hereford, is now the oldest working court room in the country. The Hall, once used as a prison, was built on the site of the old main gaol. Still with all its original features, the court room and cells provide the perfect atmosphere to conduct hardcore paranormal experiments!…..All we ask is that you are confident in setting up and conducting your own experiments all night as this is not a standard night and you will be literally left standing in the dark! Not for the faint hearted but this is a perfect opportunity to complete some controlled experiments and try out the kit!

June Ghost Hunts!

What’s on in June?

We’re gearing up for a busy month of ghost hunting. Next week we re-visit the very Haunted Museum The Creaky Cauldron in Stratford Upon Avon. It closed its doors last autumn for a refurbishment (which potentially means we’re in for an active night as spirits don’t like change!) and we are proud to announce that we are now one of the only few paranormal teams allowed to go back in to investigate. Tickets still available and this is a small investigation so expect plenty of time to do controlled experiments!
